Vroom, Vroom, Vroom...

Can you believe that one of my son's first words was "car"? Neither can I!! It's pretty safe to say that I've spent TONS of money on his car obsession throughout the years; close to a billion dollars! I kid, I kid- but it sure seems like it. Car cakes, car furniture, car costumes- and he never missed a car show! So while I tend to keep my fingers crossed that the baby doesn't follow the same route, I can't help but be amused by all the unique car designs for babies. Let Them Eat CAKE!!!!!!

Is it so terrible that one of my favorite things about a baby shower is eating the cake?? Don't get me wrong, welcoming a new baby is certainly a wondrous event. However, I find that throughout the 'pin the diaper on the baby' games and the "oohing" and "aahing" during the opening of gifts, I am secretly yearning for someone to cut that cake (you know I'm not alone in this!). That's One Funky Baby!

Don't you just love to "ooh" and "aah" over sweet little pink blankets and blue layette sets with the matching booties (or mint green for either/or)? I know I do! But, in my opinion, before too long everything starts to look the same. So why not spice it up a bit? I say until babies are old enough to pick out their own clothes, lend them a little bit of your own personal style! A splash of color here and a dash of boldness there never hurt anyone.

April Showers Bring May Flowers (and the cutest rain gear ever!!!)

Although the sweet smell of rain in the air makes me all happy inside ( I LOVE the rain!!), it dawned on me that a mere blanket atop my baby's head would not suffice for the many errand runs he will accompany me on this spring! I guess that means I'm gonna have to pick up some trendy baby rain attire (any excuse to shop, right??)...chuckle, chuckle. Look at all the delicious stuff I found!!
